Cosmetic contouring can be applied for teeth and gums.:
Soft Tissue Cosmetic Contouring:
Problems such as gummy smile, gum asymmetry, very short teeth can be solved by doing a simple laser operation to the gum. Only after a week, any treatment can be applied to obtain better looking teeth.
Hard Tissue Cosmetic Contouring:
Cosmetic contouring is an ideal treatment for minor problems such as little cracks, chipped teeth, slight unevenness. Anesthesia is not required, and the amount of tooth reduction is minimal. Procedure ends in one session and no touch-up is required.
This method is not preferred for children and teens because of the large pulpal area. |
